Buy in bulk at Costco.
Cheaper than DORCO?
Who knows, I don't use razors.

I'm seriously considering buying a safety razor. I haven't found a multi-bladed razor that doesn't give me razor burn... and the electrics would never shave close enough. I've tried different gels, creams, etc... even after shave and nothing seems to work right. I've heard straight or safety razors don't necessarily have that issue.
I hate electrics. It seems like the more expensive they are, the shittier they get (for me at least). The multi-bladed razors work for me if I use the right Shaving Gel.

I've had great luck with a wired Wahl.

I think everyone is a little different. They just don't get close enough for me.

That's what makes them so perfect for me. Any closer and I get razor burn it's nice to have some stubble too.

Yup, that's why I like them. The no razor burn, not the stubble. But I don't really mind the stubble either.

I also shave my entire head, so I want a razor that can take off a lot of hair really quickly.
-
They would definitely work really well for that.
-
Stubble drives me nuts...electrics are also too slow!

Ever used a wired Wahl? I can shave my entire head no matter what the hair length is in just minutes.

Nope...

@thanksaj hard to say they are slow if you haven't tried the industry standard

....yeah..... electric and slow never come to mind.
-
Yes, electric is very fast for me. Many times faster than a razor.

I've never been able to get a close shave with one, and it was always slower than a blade for me. Maybe I just had crappy electrics.
-
@IRJ I ordered the blade from Dorco that you suggested. I'll give them a try.

this is my new shave toy -
Does that razor float there?

LOL - I wondered that too... but no, there are a pair of arms that you can easily miss just under the head. You don't see the riser since it's inline with the handle.
