Point 2 Point 2 Point - Wireless AP's

Anyone set-up some Point 2 Point Wireless brdiges between 2 buildings that have a large metal building between them?
Setup here is we have a main office, then a "support" office that are linked via Fibre. BUT! the rats tend to chew through the cables now and again, and Wednesday it happend . Problem is we had a wireless bridge installed but this didn;t work. (not placing blame on anyone not me as i didn't install it).
So what i have is 4 LigoDLB thingies. In this setup-
Question is do i need to connect Station 2 and 3 with a switch/crossover cable??
Also what modes they all need to be in? i.e. Station, APUnfortunately there is no los between the HO and Cabin. hence the linking of station 2 and 3 to get around the corner of the building.
3rd Question, how would you set this up with different kit, e.g. Ubiquity M5 or nano stations etc.

I have set up the ubiquiti nano AC, and five and local stations.. They basically can work as repeater and AP at the same time. You donβt need to switch between them but I would recommend highly the AC version that way you have higher speeds.

@dbeato Thanks, yeah if the telecoms guy can't these to work i'll be purchasing something that will work (most prop cheaper too )

@hobbit666 you won't need a switch, and if the units you have require a crossover cable, I wouldn't use them. Network devices should all have auto sensing for that built in. Like every network chip set for the past 10 years at least.
tldnr: just a network cable between the 2 wireless links.

But the switch would be useful because then you magically have network in that location.

@travisdh1 i only put that in there as a simple way to display them being connected.

I dont know, but my answer would be get rid of the rats problem, and do a traditional cable setup. Otherwise your doing alot of work cause of rats, which doesnt sound reasonable.
Are they the big kind of rats ? with long tail ? red eyes ?

@emad-r yeah there bloody big. Can't get rid due to the nature of our business we're a feed producing (animal feed) so have a big mill mixing raw material in a rural area. We have installed "armored" cable but this is for a backup

They why not use your IT skills, and mod Raspberry Pi with motion detection module and gun module, and do what IT is meant to do for years, create turret stations , only then you will understand and earn M+ certificate.

I suggest Ubiquiti and metal conduit to put the cables in. Put all devices except the APs in a sealed box.
