@scottalanmiller I can see your repost of them. A dog, rabbit, and a pig i think. Are they hair or a wig though? A wig made of hair?

Don't know if a wig is a hat, but what I do know is it's meant to deceive. Knowing you @scottalanmiller, I would think you would not support this brand of lying 😉

Some hats are, but others are just meant to cover up syphilis scars.

I definitely consider them a hat.

It's the only good conclusion. I don't see how they can be anything else.

I have 1 friend who wears a baseball cap because he's balding very early. He could wear a hair hat, but the man loves baseball.

Hmmm, given that he wants to pretend not to be bald, one would assume that he always loves hair 😉

I'm bald, like hardcore, but rarely wear a hat. But I do have some baseball caps that I wear from time to time and a Stetson because... Texas.

I'm balding too. I never wear a hat to hide it... what can ya do right?

I only wear a hat when I'm outside for sun protection of my head/face/neck.

It's actually surprising just how bad sun exposure is for your skin, even small amounts.

Some day, I may read the entire discussion thread on weather wigs are just hairy hats, but it is not this day.

The bit I did read was good entertainment, that was mostly a reminder to myself to finish reading.

And it helps us to understand the true nature of hats.

While wigs are meant to make you look as if you have hair, I don't think that they provide any real protection. . .

A wig can and does provide the same "protection" as a hat. Consider a skull cap or simple bob, what protection to they afford that a wig does not?

Ok. . . well a hardhat keeps your skull from being crushed by falling debris. Can a wig do the same?

A wig can't do that, but neither can my fedora.

Some wigs could. Like one of those old fashioned powered ones with lots of hair spray.

Bottom line is this. God only made a few perfect heads, like @scottalanmiller and mine, the rest God had to cover with hair.

Hair... hiding the shame of imperfect heads since time began.
