PRTG for network nodes. I'm checking out the Spiceworks Network Monitoring Beta to see if it might be able to replace PRTG or handle my servers.

Meraki MDM does some cool stuff with even the free version. I haven't really found anything I completely like at a reasonable.

I don't really even consider Spiceworks software anymore since there code is not very lean and is a resource hog.

We use different things at different places. GFI Max is a big piece of it for us as @Minion-Queen mentioned. We use Meraki System Manager extensively too. And we use InTune in some places.

Yeah I made up my own product name 😉

                      They make Meraki MDM too.

They are merged now I believe. The MDM is within the Systems Manager.

@thecreativeone91 Yes, it always has been since first release. But the SM is the big thing that includes the Windows and Mac monitoring and the MDM is just an extra component.

I'm testing the Spiceworks Network Monitor in Beta, and thus far I like it. I will not disagree it is resource intensive. Other than that we were using Spiceworks alerts.

I've heard great things about PRTG but have yet to try it.

It is too complex for the amount of time I have to spend on it right now.

I saw a demo of it at the DFW VMUG, and it looked like it needed to be labeled "some assembly required" to really get it setup and going.

PRTG is good. It can be made overly complex.

I'm using basic Spiceworks scans. With netwrix disk space monitoring running every night.

Haven't really considered network monitoring. I might put that down for consideration next year.

I have not seen a demo, but I have seen it highly recommended. I did take the time to download the trial and install it a few months back. It is most certainly "some assembly required" but it looked very good once you did get it assembled.

Is Netwrix pretty good? Do you use it for any file server auditing or anything else?

Well, we're just using the disk space monitor and probably a really old version too. It's not really that helpful as I get better information out of Spiceworks.
