LIke does it actually teach language rules, or just drill you on things it expects you to already know from somewhere else.

I haven't explored it enough to know, I've only been listening to the audio. But they do explain rules when needed.

A lot don't. Too often it is just drills, no underlying info.

It's new for Spanish, which is like 50% of their audience.
