Office 365 Plans - Mix Business and Enterprise?
-
I am analyzing usage for an Office 365 migration and wanted to confirm that I can mix Business Premium, E1 and E3 plans. Is that correct? Is there any downside?
I did notice that there seems to be some mention of using Office Click to Run tool for deployment and having to specify different versions. Has anyone dealt with that?

One of the sites we manage has several E1 and E3 accounts on the same domain - so there is no issue with that.
As for the Click -to - Run - No idea... haven't fooled with it.

No problem here so far. You can mix them

I've only had to deploy Office 365 Pro Plus and I installed from the Internet and locally.
But its pretty easy to deploy Office 365.

I am referring to the different product ID types for click to run. I have been using it for a few years with pro plus but am not sure if I have to change deployment based on license type

Use O365ProPlusRetail for Office 365 Enterprise E3.
Use O365BusinessRetail for Office 365 Business Premium. -
I wonder if it really makes a difference. I'll test it out tomorrow by deploying business premium and logging in with a pro plus licensed user.

My Business Premium subscriptions will not activate 365 Pro Plus, But Pro Plus subscription will activate 365 Business Premium.

@wrx7m It makes a difference on the activation of the accounts.

Well that answers that. LOL Now I will have to redeploy to everyone and maintain different versions. Oh well. PDQ Deploy to the rescue.
