Dual boot file storage

So, working as I am trying to do from Win10 and Linux, sharing files via the NAS isn't an issue.
But when I take the main laptop to dual boot, you can access ntfs from Linux, but not so much the other way.
And this was the 'thought' process I used in previous build making different partitions.
But now I want to make sure I'm doing things right. What would be the correct method of accessing files from both are on a single hdd or sdd.

You could just keep all your files on the Windows partition so you can access them from either system.

I suppose that will work, set up a mount point for the folders

I would just symlink your documents downloads etc. folders to the windows location as it's mounted

Consider something like NextCloud, why store the files locally?

In the Use Case; Not on:
- local network
- wifi
- completely detached from network(s)
