LXDE -> Currently more stable
LXQT -> Will be the successorLXQT is already pretty far along. I'd normally go ahead and deploy that today.

I'm still searching for that "perfect" desktop environment for me. Or as close to it as I can get. I love variety, which makes it harder to settle on one.
Part of me really wants to use Solus, the part that used to use BeOS. I think I'm going to convert my desktop machine to Deepin and try running it as my main work machine for a bit and get a feel for it.

iOS. It really makes more sense thatn anything else, with smart keyboard and shortcuts. I've never seen it crash or slowdown, ever. It is very minimalistic.
Regarding Linux, I really like both i3 and (I know it's strange) KDE 5 with tiling plugins.

I'm really warming to Deepin, such a nice distro..

I'm loving the font rendering on it.

I've seen as much or more iOS slowdowns or crashes than Linux desktops. But I probably use iOS more, so that is clearly a factor. And, obviously, my Linux hardware has dramatically more power than my iOS hardware, so I expect iOS to slow down more if doing anything of any serious nature.
One key thing I see with iOS, even on really powerful hardware, is huge slowdowns that cause apps to stall and be unable to scroll for 30 seconds or more while the system appears to "catch up". I never see this on my powerful Linux desktop and it can create some huge delays in trying to work from iOS.

With a specifical app? Really, it never ever happened to me in years. Maybe the lower res of the 6s?

Lots of them. I can tell you for sure that the Amazon Cloud app locks up all of the time. I have to close that and re-open constantly.

Are you actually closing out all your background apps on a regular basis?

On iOS? Yes, I'm decently good about that. I'm used to a few things that are problematic and so often use them only after I've closed everything first. So I know in several cases that I'm verifying that specifically.

I'm a fan of MATE, but lately I've been choosing Cinnamon instead because of convenience in places that make more sense.
