Decommissioning Domain Controller (Primary DNS, Transferring FSMO roles)

Disclaimer: First time doing this.
I have ETC-DC1, ETC-DC2 and ETC-DC3. ETC-DC2 has FSMO roles and also is a primary DNS. I have added a few domain controllers in the past but never with FSMO roles or with one being a primary DNS server. Anyone have good material I can reference? A lot of what I'm seeing is outdated.

Basically, move all the roles. Then you can dcpromo it out of the pool.

Hm. ETC-DC3 is unavailable when attempting Changing Directory Server. I'm reading that it's possibly due to IPv6
Edit: It was in fact the IPv6 settings.

So we have one primary domain and two secondary domains. There are 2 domain controllers per domain. Does the schema role apply per FSMO DC or only to the DC with the domain naming master role?

I believe I am finished. I'm not going to remove the old DC just in case. I'm going to have my boss check it to be safe.
