      Weird issue just started happening today. Logging into Veeam (127.0.0.1:9392) actively refuses the connection. Both vCenter and Veeam are installed on this server. I've checked the accounts trying to log in are active and no issues with their permissions. Also verified services are running and the service accounts are fine.

      Disabled the firewall as a test. Any ideas? Kind of on a time crunch with this one.

          @JaredBusch said in Veeam refusing connections:

          @BBigford reboot

          Didn't want to reboot until I tried some other things. Had to manually disable all the services and then set them back. All fixed... but very weird. Not the first client we've seen this at I guess.

            @BBigford So in essence you restarted the services 🙂 but sometimes the only option is reboot. I have had sometimes that Veeam B&R freezes servers for us as well.

              This was the wrong way around it. You wasted lots of time for something that was unlikely to work (although you got lucky and it did). I mean you researched, and read google results, etc. When you simply could have rebooted.

              Nothing but Veeam B&R should be running on here anyway, so if you cannot access it, reboot.

              Veeam is very good about just kicking the job as failed and then starting over.

                I agree with the assessments. Basically you rebooted in a long, round-about way. But it was time consuming and ultimately didn't teach you anything. What you learned is that rebooting next time will solve the problem faster and more reliably 🙂 It's not all bad, you have slightly more info than you would have had otherwise, but there are almost certainly more useful places for your time.
