New Gateway Issues
-
Can anyone tell what is causing it? We are still getting them from time to time but we used to have a thread that we knew was causing problems. Now, we are unaware of any with an issue. If someone can figure out a correlation between activity and the few minutes of getting the gateway error from CPU spikes, let me know.
-
I got them a lot yesterday not sure of time but I'll make a note of it next time it happens.
-
Not sure. Haven't been on much this weekend.
-
@scottalanmiller , do you host the site yourself, or is this hosted by NodeBB somehow? When I ping mangolassi.it, and then go to the IP directly in the browser, it doesn't take me to MangoLassi but rather to a different NodeBB forum.
-
Yesterday i got a lot and this morning also.
-
i noticed it locked up on me when i tried to upload a picture that was probly too big.

That's because you are forgetting about host headers again.

That wasn't my question though.

No but it answers it.

If that's the case, it means you aren't hosting ML on your own server, which is where the performance issues could be coming in. If that's the case, NodeBB's servers can't handle the load.
-
Well no it doesn't mean that but you know that this is a GroveSocial platform hosted by Rackspace.
But you are going down a rabbit hole. There is no server capacity issue. The issue is the application panicking. It's a code issue. We know that. We are trying to identify what thread holds the text that causes the app to freeze.
-
Well, if we note when the freeze happens, and we go back and look at what threads had posts on them right before then, we could probably figure it out.
-
Pretty hard to do that. That's why we are asking for noticed correlation.

That's also pretty hard to do.

It is but someone might notice that they go to a certain thread and then the site is unresponsive.

But it might be someone else at the same time being somewhere else. I would have Steve create a bug tracking thread in the Announcements group.
-
Haven't seen any issues today yet.
-
Good here too, for now.
-
I've been internetless all day. Back now.
