New Band
-
I must be crazy but in all the craziness I realized I needed to do more fun things. Watching @art_of_shred play all the time wasn't it anymore. So I tried out for a Classic rock band last weekend and am now the lead singer!!
First gig was supposed to be October 11th. Got a call last night nope it's Saturday. So while doing the other million and 10 things I do each day I am learning 50 songs (some I know but I am crazy).
I can't wait though I am really looking forward to this. Tonight is my first real band practice and of course they decide to do it at a local bar instead of a normal practice space. Free drinks!

On the topic what are your favorite classic rock songs?

Depends on the description of classic rock, I guess. Carry on My Wayward Son has always been a favorite. Pinball Wizard came as a close second. Juke Box Hero is up there too.
-
Oh love Carry on my Wayward Son.

I don't have time to answer that now. I will answer later.

Skynyrd is good

Well, as Classic Rock is defined by anything twenty years and older, can I get away with saying Sad But True from Metallica?
-
I thought that Classic Rock was an era. Not a moving target.

No, that is not classic rock. I beg to differ with your definition. Also, Metallica is METAL.

Classic rock is all pre-90s. I think, by definition, it has to be 60s, 70s, or 80s or be "classic rock". Just saying.

Sigh now I feel old.

Thank you AJ. I know I am not.
