Outputting Labels in a Third Party Warehouse
-
One of our companies has a Third Party Warehouse on the West Coast. We need to output labels there.
Trying to figure out the easiest way to do this.
Anyone every use Internet Printing? How well does it work? I would prefer not to have a whole PC there unless I need it.

Will a google printer work?
-
Is there any sort of site-site connectivity? If so just put some software on a pc on WC; use something like Bartender, share the printer and print to it.
If there is no site-site connectivity, IPP or something like Dashrender said -
A Ubiquiti ER-x is so cheap, you could drop one of those in the warehouse and then set up a site to site VPN back to HQ and print directly to it. $50 and one piece of hardware.

@Mike-Davis Yeah I was thinking the same thing, a site to site VPN would be a really simple approach here.

We've used Google Print and it works decently. Might be all that you need.

I don't like this mainly because it is using the old (tried and true) LAN based design. Also, you have to setup firewall to make sure your network doesn't get infected by anything that gets plugged in at the remote side.

@Dashrender I was thinking of the printer plugging straight in to one of the ports on the EdgeRouter. If they have other needs (wifi APs, cameras, etc) then that becomes part of the equation.

Sure, doesn't stop someone from unplugging it and plugging a laptop, etc... that's all I'm saying.
