tags not adding

@scottalanmiller I'm able to add tags, but they do seem buggy when trying to add them. Or with tagging a user in a post.

It's account related. Admin accounts can make tags normally. Others have this glitch affecting them.
For me, it works 100% of the time on topic edit. It fails 100% of the time on topic creation.

That's been my experience as well. I always have to go back and edit to get the tags to stay.

Oh, I did not realize that edits were working consistently.

I think I have solved the issue on WHEN this is happening so you can verify yourself. Creating a few million posts this morning likely helped figure this out.
New Topic tags fail every time
- From the Unread page, click create topic.
- Enter subject
- select a category
- enter content
- try and add a tag.
- The tag will add then poof.
New Topic tags work every time
- From the category page, click create topic.
- Enter subject
- Category already seldcted
- enter content
- try and add a tag.
- The tag will add then add and stay
Editing always lets tags add correctly.

@scottalanmiller did you see this?

Yes, I've been noticing the same thing since you outlined it.

Weird, I've never made a new post from that categories page.
Heck, I think I've clicked on the categories button like 3 times since this place opened.
How do you find that page useful? Other than now that it fixes this problem?

What are you talking about? I don't use the categories page I was specifically in a category not in the unread that is all.

Sure, but how did you get there? I'm guessing you got there on purpose somehow.
My normally used pages are:
Click on mangolassi logo - https://mangolassi.it/
Click on unread inbox icon - https://mangolassi.it/unread
Click on Notifications bell icon, then click on the highlighted threads.I don't go to a specific category ever. I'm trying to see if there is a workflow for using ML that might be more effective for use.

Ah, you click on the category tag underneath the topic title.
I News it when making new posts that are not in a normal category like when I was doing my DBX guide

This is the part that confuses me
https://i.imgur.com/mP8Ougt.pngThat link is not the category page. The category page is https://mangolassi.it/categories.
The category page does not have a new post button

Of course you do, you do that for any new thread you make (or at least you can). If, as you noticed, you use the new thread button from the unread page, the category is waiting for you to make a selection, but if you are already in a category (say the Mangocon category) and not on the category page (as there is no new thread button there) then the new thread page will be prepopulated with the thread you started the post in.
I
Newsuse it when making new posts that are not in a normal category like when I was doing myDBXPBX guideI guess I don't understand why you visited the categories page, then found the mangocon page to create a new thread. This took two clicks instead of just one if you had just gone to the unread page?
I'm ready for the FFS now - oh, and this banter has nothing to do with the OP issue at hand - is more about workflow using ML.
-
I did not visit the categories page. That link is not to the categories page that link is to a specific category page look closer

Yep I did see that - that's why I made a point of pointing it out in my post.

This highlighted word is my issue - you said, from the category page when it should have been from a category page. The category page is the list, a is any - now I'm Scotting you.
Further more - to the workflow issue, why would you go to the category page first? why not just pick it from the drop down? AND why did you put the PBX threads in MangoCon instead of IT? Sure you did a talk at MC about it, but they seem like all the rest of the How To's that are in the IT category.

@Dashrender yes category singular the specific category page.
