MS Visio O365 subscription (or alternatives)

Thanks, Scott. Should've been more precise: Would like to use office, but doesn't seem to be a good option for "home users with Visio"
Had a look at Gliffy, LucidChart, Creatly and others, but I still prefer Visio (probably because I'm used to it).

Yeah, I guess you're right. IMHO, it's ok to pay such an amount for good software, but it's not a viable option for other users who create maybe a diagram every here and there.

Yeah, I guess you're right. IMHO, it's ok to pay such an amount for good software, but it's not a viable option for other users who create maybe a diagram every here and there.
Well sure, but that just means that Visio is not the right choice for them. Visio has always been super expensive, even going back to the 1990s when I was first using it. It is not a tool for casual users, it's a very high end tool that people have to pay a premium for. Part of choosing the right tools for the job is picking the ones that cost the right amount. I can't imagine a home user scenario where Visio would make sense.

You're right. I'm just so used to Visio because I've used it over 2 decades. It's probably about time to look for something else, which would do just fine in most cases.

You're right. I'm just so used to Visio because I've used it over 2 decades. It's probably about time to look for something else, which would do just fine in most cases.
I stopped using it, even though I have a license for it, long ago because I don't want to be beholden to it.

I only used Visio when I had a license from the DreamSpark program.
I never used it enough to want to buy it later.
We have a single license available now via our MS Action Pack subscription, but that is assigned off to the user that wants it, though I have no idea what he uses it for.

Thought about DreamSpark (I do have access) but the goal was to obtain a separate license / subscription.

I don't know if it will do what you want, but worth looking at.
I've used it for a few things recently.
