That's an adorable car in the most masculine way; 100x better looking than a Prius.

My wife's car is a 2012 Toyota Prius C and my car is a 2010 Honda Insight, not quite a Leaf but close enough for now.

Our other car is the latest body style Prius, and I actually quite like it. The coolest thing about both cars is the interior and the technology, though. So many gadgets, features, and neat integrations.

@JaredBusch @Nic Oh nothing wrong with the cars themselves, I'm just a sucker for the newer Nissan body styles. My roommate actually got a Prius recently and the tech is definitely on top!

Agreed, I like the body style too. Of course they're constrained by the aerodynamics, but I like what they've done. One nice thing about the Leaf is the visibility in the back isn't as constrained as the Prius.

Nice. I really wish that I could do electric. They just don't have the necessary range for me here 😞

Super high price and uses gas effectively all of the time.

@scottalanmiller oh, I thought it only kicked in when it had run out of electricity. I guess you'll need to spring for the Tesla 🙂

It seems like it would do it, but it's anytime you are at driving speed. Like 26mph+ is something like that. And anything over 30 miles or something.

That would be 95% of my 100 mile daily commute.

@scottalanmiller oh right, forgot how long a commute you had. The Tesla could handle that, but you'd probably want a charging station at work to be sure. Is it 100 miles total, or 100 miles each way?

100 miles total. But charging at home isn't possible either, my parking lot doesn't have charging stations.

We really want a Tesla, but even the long range model would only be useful for commuting. It's range is about 20% shy of being enough to be able to use for our weekend trips to visit family. If they could break that threshold we'd be really close to being able and willing to figure out how to make one work for us. I love the Tesla, it's amazing.
