Hopefully they get someone to come in and be active. Since they are not active "over there" any longer, it is that much better of an opportunity to be busy here!
That's a good idea! I'll run it by a few people.

Is ServerMonkey going to send someone in to replace you here? It will be hard for them to maintain a presence on par with what you have been providing.
Well, in all honestly I was here mostly on my own accord after we stopped posting in the community "over there". Charlotte is always on the ball in community engagement, so I would suggest sending her an email for feedback on anything website/community. Andy is my favorite sales rep (don't tell anyone!), and I've trusted him to white-glove most of the prospective clients I receive for us.
Thanks for all the warm wishes; obviously I'll stick around for the 9-5 conversation in the least. I mostly wanted to avoid an "Oh, I don't work there anymore" conversation. I assumed since I was emailing my vendors, I should drop a line here as well!
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to announce that I am resigning from my position in purchasing at ServerMonkey.com. I will probably stick around in the community here and there, but all further contact for business should be directed towards one of the contacts below.
Due to my past military experience, I believe that a position in an industrial setting would be more appropriate. I hold everyone here in the highest regard and wish to maintain a positive relationship with everyone here. I will be assembling the supply chain department for a local oil/gas company and am very excited for the future. It's been a very bittersweet week for me.
Feel free to reach out, I'm friends with SAM on Facebook, and my LinkedIn is below.

I had a really good drink one time where they smoked the drink. It was similar to an old fashioned; the good kind not the maraschino cherry kind.

Speaking of horrible things, I went through a phase where I would order "whiskey, splash of soda" when I went out, for a good 8-9 months.
Pretty sure that's why I grew chest hair, but not a phase I'm impressed with.
You should be pretty embarrassed. You should never water down whiskey.
Even well? whoof
@SarawithanH Welcome, enjoy your stay and watch out for the ones whom bite.

To clear things up a little more. I do not own NTG. NTG is my day job. I love my day job and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. However I really did just see a huge need. Not just for IT Pro's either. The plan is to have many sites. ML is our flagship but I hope to grow this into a major Social Community and Social Marketing Firm. Marketing is my first love (not IT). This gives me a way to get back to it in a small way for now.
I will say congratulations again then, the world works in weird ways. I'm always happy to see when somebody uses their main career to "niche" their way (back) into their real passion.
This is really interesting, I'm curious how this will effect future international legislation. Can you imagine when "Data sanctions" become a thing, I really think we're going to see a LOT more of "where is the hardware" in the next few years. At least how it relates to law/international-relations.
