So I've got a server that we using for imaging, it is its own DHCP server for a private network. We haven't used this system in a long time (as we virtualized to a updated platform).

Anyways the issue is that on PXE booting a machine on the same network as this server, the DHCP request times out.

The system is configured to use ISC-DHCP-Server, the service is currently stop/waiting (not sure why investigating).

      What might I be missing?

I think you found the issue of why it isn't handing out addresses.

Even when it was started it wasn't working.

But I'm a fool today. I'm just going to install XS onto this hardware, and import my working condition VM into it.

This way I know it works, and it mirrors what I have. (so the remote office mirrors the main office).

connect a windows/linux machine and see if those get the DHCP assignments. If not, are you sure the server is handing out IPs?

It was, but it doesn't matter at this point. I've changed my project.

Just going to perform a clean XS install onto some hardware, and make a copy of my working VM into that.

This system hasn't been used in 6-8 months so trying to dig into it is worthless. (also its bare metal install)
