Science fiction come true: Moving a paralyzed hand with the power of thought

I knew this was coming, but had not read anything recently. A few years back they had succeeded in the chip on brain to computer commands. There were stories about paraplegic people playing pong and such at the time. I am so happy that they have gotten the next part, the sleeve on the muscles, to work.
I dated (and was engaged to) a wonderful woman who has MDA. While she would prefer a cure to her condition (which is getting closer every year actually) , things like this will be very helpful for the many many people living with all kinds of conditions that mess with the spine such as MDA.

This is really incredible. He didnt just barely move a finger, he moved his whole hand and clenched an object.

Very cool what they are doing now.

I have a friend who had artificial eyes for a while.

I saw a video yesterday where they are testing doing this with airplanes now in Germany. The brain is a beautiful thing, if only humans can harness the power.
