Zabbix - Improvements for this Graph
-
Below is a graph for a VM I've got running, the graph is pretty solid in terms of what it offers. Just curious what other items might be worthwhile to put on an "Overall Performance" graph that you guys would be looking for.
-
If you're wanting to do it with just a single graph, the only thing I see you are missing is CPU and Network usage.
-
You could also build individual graphs... and then create a Screen for that host... Under Monitoring -> Screens
-
Hrm...
I wonder if there is a better way to stack the graphs, as it is now, with the memory being on there, the graphpaper is essentially Mt Everest, with a few people standing at the bottom...

That usually doesn't work well because of the fact that the different stats use such wildly different numbers... I think that is one of the places where using the Screens will be nice.

Can you import the existing graphs into the screens section?nvm

Yeah... Monitoring -> Screens -> Create Screen... Give it a name... and then set the number of columns & rows...
I usually monitor CPU, Memory, Disk, and Network... 2 x 2... then click Add... and it takes you back to the Screens list... on the right, you should see one that says "Constructor" Hit that.
You'll see 4 boxes with "Change" wirten in them... Click change, and then pick the graph from one of your hosts... Set the Width & height to your liking (keeping in mind there will be 4 graphs on the page).
Hit add... and then repeat the process to get the other graphs in the page.
-
I should note... that if you have a bunch of Machines that have the same network card name (ie: eth0)... then on each item, you can check the "Dynamic Item" box... and you won't have to make a Screen for each server... but you can make one screen that will let you pick which server you want to look at.
-
I like my graphs to be very independent. One for each thing so that the scale makes sense and false correlations are not encouraged.

This screenshot here, do you have individual screens per host, or at the template level?
