Canonical Announces that Ubuntu Will Include ZFS Filesystem
-
Mark Shuttleworth of Canonical has announced that in time the Ubuntu operating system will have ZFS support included in it. No mention of when we will see that, however.
-
For the life of me I thought it was already included.
Obviously I haven't been paying that close of attention when installing it on personal devices.
That's pretty awesome.
-
Licensing reasons have made it difficult to include.
-
Are they talking about the the Open Sourced Linux version?
I thought that was included as well.

Of course, no one but Oracle has ever had access to the closed source version. The open source version license won't allow it to be included with Linux so they have to be creative to figure out how to include it. No Linux comes with it.
