This actually sounds like a fun time!
And does not impact other visa limitations. Other than using a few days up in Panama, all of that time at sea is time that you are not inside a country using up visa time.

A lot of those workaways actually sound really exciting. Some really fun locations and working with kids with computers would be a lot of fun.

This is an awesome service. I have been telling closed minded Midwesterners for years that they need to send their kids out of the country for a year or so after school in order to expand their minds to other cultures.

Here is one on Ometepe, an island on the lake that I live on. The ferry heads there from within walking distance of my house. Four hour ferry ride from here. Two volcanoes, one active and one not, on Ometepe.

okay, this one will not work but how cool to volunteer on the Galapagos Islands!

Okay, this one could be really good. Working with computers for an organic honey startup 15 minutes from Quito airport. This one is important because:
- Quito is a JetBlue destination making it a CHEAP entry point to South and Central America
- The primary work is actually on the computers, typically that's a side thing
That this is right by the airport could be very convenient.

I sent them a contact message!

That one definitely looks really interesting AND Quito to David is not far at all, if you end up needing to hop up to the Junk in Bocas del torro.

There might be a ferry as well. There is NO road connecting north and south America, so be aware of the Darien Gap travel problems.
