Nextcloud was way ahead of its time- The replies in the linked-to documentation are from 1970

      NextCloud was era defining.

      Indeed!

Just in case someone in charge cares - It went from ML logo to a hex nut. I would upload the screen capture but I don't have enough privileges for that, apparently.

@Nic Little do they know... JK I buy other stuff from them for work all the time and occasionally for home.

This was early September, so I definitely missed it 😞
I got one like this a little over a year ago.

I guess this is why you should run your own mail server. Not the end all, be all, but you can also refuse to send mail to these "free" mail service domains.

Yahoo was my first email account, circa 1997. I haven't used it for at least 15 years. I don't even know if it would still be around.

Where are the webroot deals for 3 personal devices for <$6? I haven't seen any since August and now I am running Sophos free while I wait for another deal. Sophos is OK, but everything has to be managed via the web portal. Need to whitelist a PUP?- login to the web portal and type out the name of the program. Meh.

@scottalanmiller Something tells me that it isn't a lack of funding that is causing their issues.

    • RE: Windows Update Error 0x800B0100

@pchiodo That has fixed my strange 800 errors most of the time. Delete the cash and start over.

I have also had weird failures where I had to break updating into smaller pieces. So I would try to do like 20 or fewer at a time and that seemed to help.

@zuphzuph Maybe by then, they will have made it much more reliable. Maybe.

I would imagine that it has to do with the fact that nobody wanted to use it and nobody knew it existed. I was like, Microsoft Band?

    • RE: Windows Server 2016 Pricing

OK. I was getting worried because that was my understanding and I am almost done filling out the MS audit spreadsheet. I haven't had more than 2 CPUs on any host, so that part hasn't applied to me. That is interesting (and annoyingly convoluted), though.

    • RE: Windows Server 2016 Pricing

@Dashrender OK - Good. That is what I thought. That is how it is setup currently.

I guess, once you get beyond 2 CPU, is when you need extra licenses to cover the additional CPUs?

    • RE: Windows Server 2016 Pricing

@scottalanmiller OK for the sake of my own sanity-

In my environment, I have 3 hosts, each with 2 CPUs. All are running ESXi. If I have eight Windows Server 2012 R2 licenses, how many VMs can I run with Server 2012 R2?

Just when you think you have MS licensing down. Why the hell do they make this so complicated?

    • RE: Windows Server 2016 Pricing

@scottalanmiller So if you had a 4 CPU host and 3 Server 2012 R2 standard licenses, would you only be able to run 2 Server 2012 R2 VMs or would you be able to run 6?

    • RE: Windows Server 2016 Pricing

@scottalanmiller But you get to run 2 Server 2012 R2 VMs per server 2012 R2 standard license.
