    • RE: NASA Provides First Color Photos of Pluto and Charon

I was honestly worried that New Horizons wouldn't have the ability to make colour photographs (or assemble them from across the spectrum). In the past NASA (and the USSR) have sent black and white only visible light cameras to new, exciting places and made us wait 30 years before actually getting a damn colour image. Since Pluto had never been seen before up close, it seemed within the realm of logic that NASA would try to get the least colourful, lowest resolution colours absolutely possible, despite technology to do otherwise existing.

NASA enjoys making things as boring and unexciting as possible, especially in recent decades, making me think maybe the administration's leadership is just all trying to act like someone from a burger joint and trying to get fired by doing a crappy job so they can go on unemployment. Of course I'm being facetious, but you gotta wonder.

ETA: Often when I type NASA, I start to type Microsoft, and that's not a joke, I really do, it must be some deep seeded feeling of disappointment or something I have in both.

Funnily I think @scottalanmiller and I both made a similar post in a similar conversation on SW months ago. There seems to often be interest in what it is or who is using it rather than actually using it, for the most part 🙂

@creayt The RAID card that was the original T110 couldn't rebuild RAIDs if you can believe it, you could setup a RAID 1 and if a disk failed it was basically a warning to transfer everything and start all over. I don't know if this is true in what you have, but I'd certainly look into it to be sure, they didn't tell us this when we ordered like 10 of them nor was it apparent even when setting up the RAIDs

It could rebuild with the original S100 but it was a software based raid really. You had to use Dell Open Manage Server to control it and rebuild the array, which took forever on that card. It was a bad implementation but it could rebuild arrays.

Really? Well, we sold them all so no big deal, but yes you're on the money with the exact card.

I'd be okay if they took all the money out of those kind's of companies. (I personally think they should be illegal anyway).

Pornography? Well, then you get into grey areas of art vs pornography, etc. Full disclosure, I've never been big into porn at all, it's just never been a thing for me, what happened was I realised an opportunity to make money when YouTube stopped allowing adult content (or actually started policing it, whatever happened) and took advantage of it.

Considering how much money there is there, that makes you an even larger target.

You're telling me, we're #3-4-ish on the web as far as adult entertainment goes, and it wasn't a problem for a while, but over the last year it's gotten steadily worse.

@Dashrender I'm just saying we have a similar problem and it's really bizarre, and we go through a lot to keep much of our company operations hidden, not because we're the mob or anything, but because adult entertainment gets a lot of BS

@scottalanmiller Oh I did that and also primarily like cha cha cha cha, but it doesn't have the same level of effect that "hon hon hon hon" has and usually she didn't even know what I was trying to do, where as my wife now knows exactly what I'm doing, and it's important to have all insults be apparent I think 😉

@david.wiese We get ones that are addressed to our two accountants though is what I was referencing, not just the obvious ones, their names too. Which is unusual because these email addresses are not public and do not contain their names. It made me wonder if PayPal got hacked or what a while ago.

When I dated a Catalonian girl years ago I used to send her emails from work with that in it. It was hard to mock laugh like that in voice though, much easier with French.

We get tons of different attacks via our various email addresses for billing. We get more emails from fake PayPal password recovery, updating account info, etc than we get from actual PayPal.

    • RE: Help Taco Bell Get a Taco Emoji

@scottalanmiller I stopped eating Jack in the Box after they killed all those people, of course ironically I know it's likely safer now than it was then, but it ruined it for me. I had it a couple times on some visits to the US before that and really liked it. I haven't had it in 22 years or so I guess. I mean if we'd just irradiate stuff this kind of thing wouldn't happen, but most westerners think food irradiation changes the taste or hurts it or makes it radioactive, etc, so enjoy your death even with organic food.

I don't want to say that I irradiate my own food like a mad scientist, but it wouldn't be that hard to do if you have a decent scientific background.

Some places do irradiate their meat though, such as the meat company which provides much of the meat to Wal-Mart.

      No meat means no happiness.

No meat means no diarrhea. It's the meat that makes people sick.

Taco Bell's never given me stomach problems, though I have noticed Papa John's pizza does, maybe it's something in their bread, because I noticed if I eat a lot of Domino's the same thing happens, but not other pizza places. Anyway, stuff about diarrhoea and hot poops, etc never had a problem like that with Taco Bell at all. Meat in general never makes me sick, nor do vegetables though, if I want to destroy a toilet, usually I gotta eat something with tons of bread in it, but that's about it. I also don't have a problem with any hot or spicy foods either other people complain about. I grew up eating food with kilograms of spices on it, maybe that's why.
