Just got to work after walking around downtown hitting Pokestops and catching Pokemon.

Wife is making vegetarian BLTs for lunch right now. On my third cup of coffee.

Normally Morningstar Veggie Bacon, which even before I was a vegetarian I preferred to real bacon. But today we are testing out a new product called Benevolent Bacon that we have never tried before.

Cool. I don't know many vegetarians (or is it vegan?) so I'm not overly aware of the options out there.

I know that Morningstar Bacon is vegan. No idea about this new one. I'm not vegan, so I don't pay attention.

Ok, so I was right... There's a difference between vegans and vegetarians... /sigh... Time to go check google.

Vegans don't eat anything made from an animal at all. No eggs, no milk, nothing. Vegetarians on the other hand often accept milk for example. There's no clear definition for that.

There WAS a clear definition. Vegetarian always meant dairy, eggs and even fish. That there is any ambiguity is purely a recent thing in the last decade or so.

So you like fish and such? ... and haven't I seen pictures you eating things that have meat or is that just my imagination?

I'm a carnivore, lol. If it's food and placed in front of me, I'll try it at least once.

Yup. They are gross things. And they don't normally taste that good. Other than a New England lobster roll, or a good bisque, I rarely would want something with lobster in it. My parents were serious lobster eaters, though, eating up to eight per day between them, it was crazy.

Lobster night on a cruise is always the most popular night...hands down. All you can eat lobster tail? Hellz to the yes!

This is fact...there are two rules:

1. Don't try to keep up with @scottalanmiller with drinking. Don't even try to come close...
2. Don't try to keep up with me for sleep. I'm not entirely human and I can run on less sleep for longer periods of time than almost anyone...

If you break either rule, especially both, you will get hurt, and probably die...

I love getting told to send emails and open tickets when we've done this, MANY times, and we constantly just get ignored...

It just gets frustrating being told to send emails and open tickets, when we've done that multiple times, had them closed without follow-up or just blatantly ignored, and we ask again, because there are only a few things we do here onsite, and I'm missing access to one of the most key systems I need, as well as the system I use most often...and if my coworker isn't here when I need that done, it doesn't get done right now. Including an AD password reset...lovely right?

I get it man. Believe me. The owner of my company literally does not want to hear a single excuse and I think it's very much to my benefit. I didn't realize how many excuses I made before I started working here. I don't blame anymore anymore and I take everything upon myself. If something happens outside of my control I just accept responsibility and he respects me for it. I actually think @JaredBusch is very similar to my current boss. I think I'm going to grow a lot professionally but also as a person working here.

I'm learning a healthy amount of apathy working here. Basically, if they won't give me what I need to do my job, and I've done my due diligence and made sure I have my own CYA in place, I'm not stressing about it. It still gets frustrating working with people who wouldn't qualify to work retail tech jobs...

Yup, remember... NOT getting access is part of your job is that is what policy dictates.

It's not policy. It's just incompetent people not doing their job. But you're right. Not my circus, not my monkeys. If I can't do my job because I haven't been given the ability to by people above me, and I've made sure to do my due diligence, I'm covered and it's on them, not me.

The real NY style places down here actually import NY water for their dough. My neighbors are from Long Island, they found this out from living here 10+ years.

Rochester is okay, but nothing super special. You want to get to the stretch between Utica and Albany for the very best pizza.

Syracuse is just as good. Trust me on that.

Ye Ole Pizza Pub in Oneida was a staple of my childhood. They encouraged you to carve your name into the tables. There were thousands of names in those tables. They had a GIANT projector screen and played movies all the time to keep the kids occupied. Great pizza, good price, really nice people who owned it, and I believe still do. Check them out! It's only a couple blocks from the house I came home to after being born!

Yes but you need to watch it BEFORE you give yourself one so you know what to do.

But then you have to remember when the time comes to use what you learned...GL with a concussion...LOL

Someone I know is moving downstate and so I was able to pick up basically a full set of pots and pans and a crockpot (5qt), all basically brand new, for $22 yesterday! WHOOP WHOOP!

Broccoli cheddar is one of the ultimate soups. Panera's has some of the best in the area.
