Got some sleep last night, and now I'm at work.
How is day two?
Going pretty well so far. Probably gonna take a couple calls today.

Dominica wanted to know if you are still at FedEx?
Yes. I called in there this morning because I just had this gut feeling it wasn't safe for me to go in without getting some more sleep.

Are you still working 2 or 3 jobs?
Funny you ask. I am currently working two jobs, but I just got off the phone regarding a third job...from the most unexpected of places.
Inquiring minds want to know.
I worked at the Staples in Clay. I just got a call from the Sales Manager of the East Syracuse store, and guess who they want to come work for them.

What shift do you have?
Training is kind of all over the map but my fixed schedule will end up being five days/week for second shift, aka 3-11pm.

Just got to my desk job.
Just paged you about the printer thread. Good timing.
And I'm on it!
Working and relaxing, but not too much right now.
If I had the capital I would. I've actually been been thinking about this a lot lately...

First day on the new job. Doing support for a small division of a much larger company. It's me and one other guy locally. Pretty cool.

Morning all. First full week on the new job!
Congrats. What are you doing now?
Desktop support at a company. It's crazy easy (mostly AD password resets and very basic troubleshooting), an amazing environment that's also very laid back, and it's fun!

Internet down. Looks like Cox is having a major outage.
I've heard there's a pill for that.
This made me laugh harder than it should have...
@acs77043 , I still remember your story about the PC you piecemealed together and it was overheating, and then you stuck a box fan up against it to cool it and all was good. Still makes me chuckle to think about! LOL
So I've decided to open Crazy A.J.'s. No, it won't be before MangoCon. It won't be this year, or probably even this decade. But every job carries with it one common frustration: knowing I can fix an issue and having my hands tied by the departmentalization of various teams (voice, networking, server, etc) and them all playing their favorite game of "pass-the-buck". I'm hands-on, and I want to be the one at the helm.
That being said, I'm neither in a position financially nor personally to make this successful. I have much more to learn before I'll be ready, and I'm both aware and okay with that. But I also know I'll get there someday, and when I do, I'm excited about the prospects.

It's really the only job that will ever truly make you happy.
I agree. I think I need the level of control over things that can only come from owning the company that you work for. That being said, I will still use NTG as my meta-MSP

@thanksajdotcom for a while that was the jewel in the collection. She was an ugly bitch (lol), but Windows 98 SE, 233-K6 processor, 54x CD-Rom/Burner, no modem, just an Ethernet port, 20GB HDD, oh and the best part, 512-MB SD Ram. I used to love to watch the beginning memtest, and the system count all of it.
It was a great story. I still chuckle every time I think about it. I believe the term "going all redneck/Jeff Foxworthy on it" was used in the conversation at one point, but I can't remember with 100% certainty. Lol

I did a mock business plan in 10th grade for an entrepreneurship class I took. My grandfathers on both sides of my family, as well as both my parents, have all been successful entrepreneurs, with my father being the most successful of them all. It's one torch I wouldn't mind carrying on.
Didn't your dad take over an existing business, rather than starting his own?
He's done both. He took over the company my grandfather started and that's the one that he's done best with, but he ran his own painting/drywall finishing company for a decade long before that, and more recently he started a car consignment company with one of his best friends, that is also doing very well.
