I'm going to share some personal information, wherever I should or not probably not. But I was quite active in the forum when it was started, Scott grabbed me from spiceworks at the time and I quite liked how active this community was getting from the start, I was posting quite a lot a couple years ago, I've been quite quiet the last year and a half. I've suffered depression and anxiety since my early twenties but always loved escaping my thoughts by putting this energy into learning and testing, I've worked for big corporation, I've done sub contracting, I believe my knowledge is very broad. I've always loved computers with my first computer being an 808x IBM with the 5 and a quater floppy disks with dos 3.0 and use to play with gw-basic I believed what it was called at the time. My uncle worked in london at the time when I was 7 years old and that was my first ever pc....I was addicted. I had problems in my child hood and was constantly on the pc to escape outside life in general. Anyways more from the early 90's I managed to secure jobs in computer shops mainly fix and build. then when the industry changed years ago with mobile internet and tablets I put effort into learning basic networking and windows servers. I'm glad I did this steps in the mid 00's as most fix and repair computer shops were closing, anyway the basic point is I've always put my energy and effort into constantly learning new things. but moving on in my 20's I was drinking a lot, diagnosed with depression and anxiety which I battled without medication. but a year and a half ago my partner of 8 years run off with someone else and after that I moved, I was down, had not intrest in using a computer, didn't even have a desk anymore. I now take medication daily as I have been diagnosed with Personality disorder. But now im trying to work on things, last month I brough a desk, setup my monitors and desktops and started slowly getting involed with using the computer more. I't was only last year that I didn't want to be here anymore but I'm glad I've finally got my intrest back into turning my pc on again. I've focused on linux for the last couple of years by reading and using labs. I'm getting the gist of the command line. I still get days where I'm too tired and cant be bothered to sit at my desk, but I believe my intrest is coming back slowly. I 've loved working with computers and it was a shock that I stopped touching one for a year and a half. I feel like I want to explain this to the community as mental health is not discussed enough, especially with men. I feel like a failure sometimes and feel useless but my I know I underestimate my computer knowledge. I just feel it can be a lonely place sometimes sitting on the pc and just reading and testing new things.....I don't want to make anyone feel awkward with this post, but I feel I need to let out how important computers are to me but depression took over the last year and a half and I couldn't bare touching one...
I know everyone has to face their demons. But Im trying to get better and I think setting my desk back up is that little step forward.......Very deep I know, but wanted to post this....

CentOS 6: Installer with MARIA-DB 10-latest (recommended, also required for clusters )

Reboot Server
Reboot your server so that all updates can take affect and CWP gets started.

Centos Web Panel Configuration:
Log in to your CWP server using the link provided by the installer on your server
CentOS WebPanel Admin GUI at http://SERVER-IP:2030/

Username: root
Password: your root password

• Setup nameservers
• Setup shared ip (must be your public IP address)
• Setup at least one hosting package (or edit default package)
• Setup root email
  & now you are ready to host domains…

Finally made the move, I've still got windows on my laptop that I will use for my music creation but, main desktop is now windows free.

NCDU: A utility to track down where high file usage is being used:

Glances: A nice resource usage utility:

NMAP: Network scan/Security scan with Vulnerability scripts:

you can run a security script by typing as follows, you don't need full file extension as it will look for NSE files in the directory you are under:

Terminator (gnome) - A different terminal that you can split into multiple terminals:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome-terminator

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install terminator

Everything does, Even a lot of the food they believe causes it now. A lot of animals now get pumped with growth hormones to make them grow quicker/gain weight. It is crazy to think that people are playing with food in this way...

But in other news, you could get hit by a car walking outside of your front door, just enjoy life to the max I say....

@rojoloco Thank you Rojo, small steps forward, I don't want to fall out of love of working with computes and hobbies of using them and life in general... I feel im slowly moving forward. I've had to stop helping one of my freinds/consultant that's been in IT for 40 years, my Knowledge overtook his years ago. But I've even stepped back from helping him. I've still been updating his servers though but that's it, not got involved in any other work with him. I need to get back in small steps, I don't want to rush back in with too much pressure that could be detrimental. I'd be interested if others have been through things in silence. I know public forums are not meant for this type of talk, but I just think mental health effects us all including people in IT like me.

My Journey:

I remember I was in primary school, not many friends as was quite a shy kid, moved around a lot and didn't get on well with school really, education was quite impacted at that time. I didn't have many interests at that age either.

I started going to after school computer club, I started learning basic MS-Dos commands and I was eventually given admin privileges to access dos and windows games that other class mates couldn't access. I was really into a program called Superbase 4 for windows at the time, I found quite an interest in creating tables and forms for some strange reason, I think I created a movie database and music database at the time lol. The network was the old BNC type connection, that if you pulled one cable from a machine the other machines would lose network access, students used to pull that trick all the time and had to go around all machines to see which one was disconnected, I remember we still had some monitors that had green screens, it was windows 3.0 that we were using.

My uncle worked in IT in London for a company called Dudley in the 90's, he managed to get me my first computer which was an 8086 with the 5.25 disks, it was a big old thing and distinctively remember the big orange flip switch power button on the side, I was about 8 or 9 at that time. I then was given another machine at about 12-13 which was a 386sx. My machine after that was rented from a company called radio rentals in the UK, I was about 14 and was a grey Olivetti 486DX2 66 and had a turbo button lol, I remember it originally had windows 3.11 and I managed to get a windows 95 CD

I did a work based training IT course when I left school for about a year, but left due to personal issues at that age, moved into a hostel when I was 16 and lost some interest in using computers, due to issues at the time.

I got back into computers a few years later in my early twenties and took over a local computer shop, called "Computer Bits" started building gaming machines, fixing laptop screens, all the usual break and fix type stuff, most machines were still running windows 98SE at that time. I also started learning html and started creating basic websites for customers. I did this for quite a few years but obviously this industry started to get quieter with the release of smartphones and tablets. I Could see things starting to change and started focusing more on the business/networking side of things and started learning AD etc.

I'm now approaching 37 and wondering where the time has gone lol, although I still have my love for computers and have recently in the last few years started to take quite acceptance to Linux, I think its a bit of a nostalgic reason as well from using the CLI in the old days. I think witnessing pretty much every windows release, it started going wrong after windows 7. I still love learning new things, and I believe no one in IT knows everything...there is always something new to learn which Is why I've always found an interest with computers.

I managed to get ISPCONFIG Installed without issue, and the hosting panel has built in packages for installing third party software like Wordpress:
