      We have a Dell R420 with H710P controller. We have 5 960GB Edge SSD Drives.

      What the best way to configure this?

      xByte recommends turning the caching completely, does this make since?

      @xByteSean

      From what I have read turning caching off is typically best practice. @scottalanmiller can clarify that for you though. I think it's just unreliable.

      Providing their is a battery backup for the Raid controller is there an issue with leaving caching on? If so why? Is the SSD array faster then the built in cache?

      From what I understand the cache should, from a logical standpoint (whether implementation dictates otherwise), be faster than the SSD access. I could be wrong though. Normally it goes registers > caching > main memory > SSD > mechanical spinny things, no?

      Counting down the minutes until quitting time and going over packing lists in my head in preparation for Ragnar in Richmond this weekend.

      Have fun. You and @MattSpeller are way more active than I am. Then again I'm slowly de-evolving into a chicken mcnugget.

      I dunno, I think I just practice a lot of poor judgement. I acquired a micro-tear in my left calf during the first week of March and have been slowly nursing that back to health. I wasn't able to run more than 2 miles until earlier this week. I should be good to do 25k right? Ignoring reason hasn't failed me before. Or at the very least it hasn't killed me yet.

      Plus I have a can of Heady Topper waiting for me at camp.

      Fully realize the scope of my pudginess. I tried to run the other day. I got to 3 mins 41 seconds until I had to stop. I'm basically dead already.

      There's a trick to getting good at running. Run. Then run again. I didn't really make it a habit until I started doing it with a local group. Group runs are so much more enjoyable. I hate running alone. Anything more than 4 miles alone is torture.

      Also this free app is pretty nifty: http://www.smashrun.com

      And running from zombies while gathering supplies and fortifying your camp is kinda cool too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sixtostart.zombies5k&hl=en

      My fiance` tries to get me to run with her. It's like she wants me to live past 35 or something

      I'm currently 35, I'll get back to you on whether that's a reasonable approach after this weekend...

      This was publicly available over a year ago. http://googleandyourbusiness.blogspot.ca/2015/01/making-it-easier-to-get-your-business.html

      I personally learned about it (and consciously remembered it) around 2 months ago. but was still waiting on it because they have not removed their beta tag from it. But like so much Alphabet stuff, it may never get that removed.

      Then my domains came up for renew, so i said what the hell, and moved them.

      I just moved my stuff about a month ago as well, and was planning to wait until it was out of beta. I was up for renewal and just decided to go ahead and jump ship.

      And I'm really sick of seeing "What's the best/yourFavorite _____?" conversations. Targetted questions like "What is the most economical video card that is compatible with Solidworks 2016?" are great! I might actually learn something.

      "What's the bestest linux distro for laptops?" questions are a waste of time. They get 20 pages of feedback of no importance or relevance to ANYTHING useful, yet garner a large amount of attention. gag

      The problem I'm finding with Spiceworks, in its current state, is that I'm not really learning anything anymore. It really doesn't have as much value as it did a few years ago when I was a bit greener. Most of the interesting threads are usually buried beneath a tenfold pile of redundancy. Even featured discussions/questions are frequently topics that have been discussed NUMEROUS times over the years.

      So many dead horses regularly being beaten into the the dirt.

      Understood. I need to figure out a way to parse the file so that the process finds "user=" and pulls everything after it until it hits the following ";", then finds "ip=" and pulls everything after it until it hits the following ";"

      Yes, which is basically what I did but the cut command can only use a single character delimiter.

      Could he pipe it into awk, use the "." as a delimeter and the print all fields preceding each "."?

      Put the file that you want to process into file2parse and this will do the rest...

      #!/bin/bash

      while read line; do
        echo $(echo $line | cut -d'=' -f2 | cut -d';' -f1)";"$(echo $line | cut -d'=' -f4 | cut -d';' -f1)
      done < file2parse

      Wait, I think there is a more important question that needs to be answered now. If you echo an echo, do you get an echoed echo's echo, or do they just cancel each other out and build a strange uncomfortable silence?

      And to follow up, if you simultaneously echo two echos from a single echo, will your head explode or somehow magically stay intact?

      That's cool. Thanks for the info.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USkGNKzTyaE In case you'd care to hear. There are a countless other videos too... The few times I have heard a dobro live I don't remember it being quite as warm as what the instruments in the videos play. I've only seen the all steel versions live though, and that probably has something to do with it.

      I have a blog http://www.ambarishrh.com/ was on hostgator for many years and recently moved to ASO. Eventhough i have this site since 2008, there is not much content on that as much as i wanted to write! 🙂 Last blog was a video tutorial just thinking that it would be easier than writing, but again on pause now. Need to start writing again! 🙂

      Yeah, I think this is a recurring theme with a lot of us that work in the field with similar aspirations in regards to writing. There needs to be more than 24 hours in the day... So much to do, so little time to do it.
