      So update on this:
We ended up "Hard wiring" the "socket Server" iPad, and setting all Ipads to Static IPs resolved this issue, there are other issues but not with the connectivity. .

This is what we did to fix it - but didn't actually fix it.

Oh, I thought the issue was wireless shit among all the ipads. That doesn't seem like they did anything regarding that.

Uyghurs: Xinjiang cotton ban is self-defeating, China tells H&M

The Chinese government has warned clothing brand H&M it will not earn a penny in the country if it refuses to buy cotton from the Xinjiang region.
H&M and other western brands are facing a backlash in China after they expressed concern about the alleged use of forced labour in cotton production. China has been accused of forcing members of the mostly Muslim Uyghur minority to pick cotton in Xinjiang. China denies this and, in recent days, critical brands have faced boycotts. "I don't think a company should politicise its economic behaviour," said Xu Guixiang, a Xinjiang government spokesman, at a news conference on Monday. "Can H&M continue to make money in the Chinese market? Not anymore." Mr Xu said the decision by some brands to stop buying Xinjiang cotton was "not reasonable", comparing it to "lifting a stone to drop it on one's own feet".

Maybe they should move their factories to Taiwan and cotton production to India lol. I'm sure China would love that.

Arizona state representative quoted saying everybody shouldn't be voting.

In Arizona, another battleground seeing an onslaught of election-related legislative battles, state Rep. John Kavanagh, a Republican, told CNN, "Democrats value as many people as possible voting, and they're willing to risk fraud. Republicans are more concerned about fraud, so we don't mind putting security measures in that won't let everybody vote -- but everybody shouldn't be voting."

That's kinda the foundation of America and the point of the Constitution... only rich, land-holding, white males should be allowed to vote. It's at the very core of the American experience, unequal representation.

Every one in Australia has to vote. You cop a fine for not voting.
Doesn’t mean you can’t donkey vote but everyone is expected to.

Just be aware that if it wasn’t mandatory then only a tiny fraction would vote.

Curious to how other countries handle it.

In the U.S. everyone is manipulated into misvoting, but you have the freedom to choose not to vote. Other than that, there's tons of fake votes.

I don't see the point of trying to live on Mars when earth will never be in as bad of shape as Mars and will never be as hard to make it habitable as it would with Mars. I'd say play around with it for tech advances, but then again, focusing on Earth would likely bring about advances in other ways.

So you started a thread titled "Azure sucks" based on the fact that you just didn't really know how to use it properly?

Thats usually how it goes with the Microsoft
bias here. "XYZ sucks" because it's never used and/or understood properly in the first place...

      but at what cost?

It depends on where you need the power and what is available.

Ideally, you'd have hydro-electric from a source such as a dam that didn't harm the environment. But that isn't doable everywhere. Wind and solar just suck, typically worse for the environment than others. Nuclear is by far the most reliable, efficient, and best for the environment. Your amount of waste by nuclear power over your entire lifetime, plus some, can fit inside a soda can under your desk.

While I'm against the insane amount of energy needed for crypto's creation/use,

Or you could support a move to more energy production through renewable resources.

There is plenty of energy available if governments stop listening to the legacy industry lobbyists and actually focus on helping renewables instead of legislating against it.

This is definitely true - but it's highly expensive to do so... and I don't want the government paying for. I want free enterprise to pay for it.

Generally more expensive in the wrong ways and far less reliable. Nuclear is really the best.

Renewable can work to meet energy demand if done right and with redundancy.

At least one country is doing the right thing. Mining crypto is just a waste of energy.

It sounds more like an excuse, to ban crypto to force everyone to use their government's currency, blaming it on electricity waste.

      This will not go well.

I've never come across a need for virtual space. If I don't have anything written on a line, I wouldn't need a line comment there?

I've always used comment blocks or comments above.

I don't like when comments are on the same line as your code, following the code. It's just so messy looking, and from what I've seen, is not best practice.

Great thanks. Too bad it's not just a simple setting.

Having the settings in JSON like that is nice because it's easy to back up. There's an extension that syncas all of your extensions and settings to a gist in GitHub.

I still use VSCode a good bit but most of my stuff is done in JetBrains tools now.

Sync is built in to VSCode for a bit now.
