@alexntg The G15, G19, G510 and such are all very similar keyboards. The G19 and G19S are a little clickier feeling than the G510, which is a very mushy rubber dome. I don't have a ton of hands on with the G15, but I'd say it's almost the same as the G510, just a little stiffer. @Minion-Queen has my old G510, and the keys never really got softer on it. AS far as the Razer green switches, never actually got to play with one. I'll check it out, thanks for the recommendation!

It's hard to get your hands on one in good condition... I wish that some of the companies who make good gaming keyboards would implement buckling spring type mechanical connections. Nothing quite like those for the feel and that tactile jump and click closer to a switch than a button, But I'm pretty happy with my G19S.

Oh, a Buckling Spring keyboard? Those are somewhat sought-after. IBM Model M's, the only reason PC's still have PS2 ports.

So, you're thinking this is a great Keyboard, with all kinds of features, cool software, the awesome LCD screen, and mechanical switches, right? Everything but the switches. This is a rubber dome keyboard, and at $200, it's a hard sell. But it's got some cool features, and a lot of industry first technology. The keys are rubber dome, but not at all mushy, and the only thing that comes to mind when using this is an MX Brown key with a loose key-cap. A very distinct feel, and a very odd one at that. It has a full host of media, control, and profiling buttons, along with a bank of 12 Macro keys. The LCD, being the driving feature of this peripheral, is very well executed. It has the ability of being a PPOE monitor, a performance monitor, a temp readout, or even use as a image viewer/video playback. It looks sharp, and stays very bright, with a good contrast ratio. Several games (This being a gaming keyboard) make use of the screen displaying current stats, objectives, etc. The full RGB backlighting works well, and is very clear. The controlling software works very nicely as well, and allows you to set macros/lights/ and other such profiles for every game individually. Overall, a great keyboard for someone used to a normal keyset, who wants something fancier, but doesn't want a mechanical quite yet. I highly suggest skipping this and sticking with a mechanical or a G510s, but if the screen is a feature that appeals, this is the only and only buy for you. ADDITON: This keyboard is vey small as far as front to back size, almost comparable with some Bluetooth mobile keyboards. But it comes with a very wide detachable wrist wrest.

They put out products on par with the same ones they released back when they were popular. They are great for gaming, but not that good for music, especially if you're going to go as far as FLAC playback (which many would argue is completely impossible to tell from a 320Kbps MP3 file, but I find it quite easy to pick it out from any other format, especially when it comes to anything with a punchy treble line). As far as Creative cards, they're stable, but you won't be getting 192 KHz at 24 Bit playback with a 124 SNr on a pair of 600 Ohm cans. Their 7.1 support is the best so far as I know still.

I know that feeling. but you guys are so much worse than us.

No question about that. I'm an early adopter type, so we get a bit of just strange useless stuff from that.

xD I do appreciate the humor! I'm currently using a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 Premium 250 ohm Headphones though. Planning on upgrading to Sennheiser HD 800's or Beyerdynamic T1's.

So I'm looking for a soundcard that supports 7.1 and preferably PCIE 3.0 1X interface. A > 118SNr would be nice, and FLAC playback is necessary. Any suggestions are great!

Had a bit of hands-on experience with one of these as a laptop replacement, and I was highly impressed. Just hope they crank out one with 8GBs of RAM soon, and maybe an Intel 4000 series integrated GPU.

    • Nvidia EVGA GTX 660 SC: A Budget Gamer's Dream.

So many people overlook the older mid-range GPU's when it comes to games. "What's the newest card I can afford" often comes to mind, before considering the older solutions for graphically demanding software. EVGA has brought this card back to kind with a refresh of some older hardware, and an impressive one at that. As a two year old card, the GTX 660 doesn't get a lot said about it anymore. But EVGA decided they could squeeze more out of it. So they took their already Factory Overclocked card, and improved the VRM so they could push more power through it, tuned the cooling, and boosted the clock speed even more. So now here we have it, a card that can push 1080P gaming pretty admirably, at only $200. As I've had hands on with this card for a while now, and as I run 2 21" Monitors at a resolution of 1280 x 1024, this card is a beast. It runs just about anything on Ultra settings, with V-sync and even Moderate Tesselation at between 60-80 Frames Per Second. I've brought it to it's knees once with Unigine Heaven running on highest settings on both monitors, but even then it got a 27 FPS average, very respectable for a $200 card. In it's price bracket, there is a bit of a gap. It's competitors occupy the $100-$150 and $250-$300 price brackets, and it sits fairly lonely in the $200 niche. It has some extremely impressive overclocking abilities, pushing an unheard of 1400 MHz when overclocked to the extreme. As an EVGA card, it will overclock itself, and has no problem keeping itself cool. Even under high duress, this card has never risen above 70 Celsius, and the fan has never gone above 60%. Overall, extremely impressed with this card, would give it a 9/10 for the price. I plan on sticking with EVGA for the rest of my journey with PC's as much as possible. Thanks for reading my review!
