I have a bunch of users that are out of the office and I need to update their VPN client. If they had a connection established, I could put the new client on the server and then issue commands in the command window to install the new one. Can anyone suggest a way to download the files (a .msi file and .cer file) from something like my web server so I can run them locally? Is there a way to download stuff from the SC toolbox without being interactive?

RE: O365 Migration: OnPrem A to O365 b w/barracudanetworks
Two domains shouldn't be an issue. If both domains are added to o365, you can powershell the addition of aliases to the users mailboxes. o365 can accept email to either domain.

RE: O365 Migration: OnPrem A to O365 b w/barracudanetworks
Are they dumping the Barracuda when they go to o365? I did and the spam filtering was better on the o365 side. If that's the case, just make sure you have access to their DNS to change the MX records.

iphone Office 365 contacts
I have a user with an iPhone that says when he creates a contact on his iPhone, it doesn't sync to Office 365. I've only ever used Android, and when I create a contact on my android, I have to select the o365 account and it creates the contact there. What is the process like on the iPhone?

ScreenConnect - UAC
Has anyone else had an issue in ScreenConnect where a UAC prompt comes up and your screen doesn't show it? It just looks unresponsive. I found if I switch from single monitor view to multi and back, I can see the UAC prompt.

RE: Raising Domain/Forest from 2008 to 2016: What do I need to know?
I usually go and enable the AD recycle bin right after that. It's one of those things you don't think about until the day you need it ...

RE: Job Title? Not sure here...
@eddiejennings said in Job Title? Not sure here...:
Since I’m in the job market now, I often wonder what happens when you put your real title on a resume, which for most of us in SMB will be something like “IT Generalist,” but when a potential employer verifies your precious employment, your previous employee says “no, his title was Network Administrator.”
I've seen employees resumes after they have worked for me and their title was different. It doesn't bother me in the least if it is accurate to what they did. Your experience is your experience. I don't know about other managers, but when I'm looking at resumes, and when I have HR sort resumes, I'm looking for similar technologies, and the titles are practically ignored.

IT and Customer Manager ? It's just an odd combination.

RE: Job Title? Not sure here...
I would go with two different job descriptions. If either job grows, you'll have to split it. If they were to replace you, they would likely have to find those skills in two different people.

RE: pricing on websites
@jaredbusch said in pricing on websites:
Trying to not call me out?
I clearly stated back at the beginning of this thread that I was overruled on that for our website. You have a perfectly valid reason - you're not the owner, so it's not your call. You said that if you were in a position to change that you would. Nothing wrong with that.

RE: pricing on websites
You know guys, I started this thread because I noticed people complained about companies not having pricing on their website. So I looked at the websites of those people and noticed that they didn't have their pricing on their website. I didn't want to call them out on it in that thread, so I thought I would start a new thread to see why it they wouldn't talk to vendors like that, but felt it was fine for their own company. I'm even more confused now.
