Seriously boned me for RDP compatibility until I researched it and realized that one VM wasn't getting updates since January. So at least I got that fixed?

@dustinb3403 Here's hoping MS agree with you. Going to attempt to decline this generous "offer" of theirs. Will report back.
In the worse case, Microsoft comes and Audits your licensing for you!

Please be informed, that BUSINESS NAME has been selected to participate in a Software Asset Management (SAM) review.
Software Asset Management helps organizations control costs, manage the obstacles associated with a digital transformation, by offering an analysis of a customer’s IT infrastructure and licensing, with the end goal of helping organizations maximize value, minimize risk, and optimize their IT investments.
The SAM review will include taking inventory of the licenses your organization has purchased under AGREEMENT NUMBER and any other Microsoft licenses you have purchased.
Please find a short summary of the SAM engagement process: -

Anyone been through one? What's the deal? I suspect it's more of a sales opportunity than a hardcore you've been naughty audit but I honestly have no clue.

I have a few crypto rigs that I could use some of these for

How long does it take you to pay for the difference of drive with voltage savings. I think that is a myth especially considering how unprofitable mining has become.
If you're worried about the cost of electricity in your mining rig, you need to quit or upgrade it.

I'll send some cash, bitcoin, litecoin or whatever if you decide to sell them cheaply to ML users.
Plan A is to try out some of the 2.5" adapters. If those suck I will definitely be selling a bunch.

@mattspeller These allow you to boot m.2 off sata interface instead of m.2? if your mobo doesnt support m.2 or NVME boot(pre 6th gen Intel)?
M2 isn't something it supports, that's just the form factor - like 2.5" vs 3.5" etc.
NVME boot is in the bios as an option - it's neat but not necessary (maybe for the PCIe ones?)
PCIe VS SATA is what we're concerned about here - all my M2 SSDs are SATA based.

Is there a PCIe board that holds a shitload of M2 SSDs? For cheap?
Struggling to find a use for these as they probably won't sell for more than peanuts.

I would really need to see this myself to believe it. Even with mineral oil you need some kind of heat spreader. I can see this working no problem with a modest hunk of copper on the CPU but bare? Yikes.

@nashbrydges Nice looking rack

old school actually with round holes. do not see that much.
I'd gladly trade the round holes for my square hole racks with the nutcerts that have me impaling my hand with a screwdriver a few times a year.
