 Oops - to be honest, I'm not sure - Would 2.4 Vs 5.0 Make that big a difference? Sorry, I haven't a massive amount of experience on WiFi and really appreciate your help . . .Make sure the 2.4 channel width is set to 20MhZ & 5G is 20 or 40 MhZ Wide channel widths will affect speed as well.

  Progress is better than a spinning wheel that says "Updates are being installed, don't power down or restart" for 24 hours. . . I already had to hard reset a VM this morning for another client because of that. 2 hours to apply a cumulative update wasn't working. It's going to be one of those days......

RE: Massive Throughput Loss On WiFiposted in IT Discussion@JasonMinard Wireless only works as fast as the lowest negotiated speed. Pull it up on your phone (Assume Android) and check the negotiated speed. Open Wi-Fi and tap the connected SSID and see what the network speed is reporting.
