@scottalanmiller My wife and the girls were back for 10 weeks last year and the girls were in school for 8 of those weeks Because the Japanese school year starts at the beginning of April and the first semester ends on the 3rd week of July. I went back in the middle of that for 3 weeks. This year they are only going back for ~7 weeks with the girls going to school for the entire month of June and I am staying home.

if we can grow our business enough that I just handle remote stuff and manage people, I think I will push for a house in Japan. I really want my girls to have a couple years (at least) growing up there.

@ajstringham I dunno, since buying a new printer is cheaper than buying the full set of genuine Brother toner, I think it might be worth it to try the generic toner.

That does make the risk extremely low. There is effectively no risk to killing the printer. If one in three cheap toners kills the printer that might still make that process cheaper.

This is my philosophy on it. I haven't had 1 in 3 be bad either, but I have all HP printers at the client that uses the service.

@jimlehr Why do you have a big warning on the T42G that is has not power supply when in the item description it does?

You also have the T41P listed as T41G: http://www.telephonydepot.com/Catalog/Yealink/Yealink-SIP-T41G

      @JimLehr
We (Bundy & Associates) do not resell. If I recommend a device to a client it is because I think it is right, we get no cut.

Making account for that client on your website now.

@minion-queen my Back hurts already from being straighter. At least I know that will go away.

Found the old bed frame for my Sleep number bed, took the feet off of it and it is pretty good now. Will need cables to make things cleaner on the backside. and I can use my MacBook Pro on the wood desk to the right when I need to sit.

@JimLehr can you tell me if the Yealink T3X series is being discontinued? I have a client that will be moving on a system in the next few weeks.
Also, I will be placing an order for a T42G for testing later this afternoon!

@Dominica they were recommended to me by a random person in line behind me at the HP booth at SpiceWorld 2012. I have liked the service thus far.

New layout. It is not quite tall enough, but I need to get work done this afternoon.

@Hubtech probably not affordable? I do not think the owner has thought about taking on a web only job for him. Our standard rate for high hour per year clients was just under $100. I know we were negotiating with each client for new rates, but I haven't seen the results of that.

Big Brother is watching. Isn't there another way to do this?

Obviously a sales guy that is not where he is says he is will have poor sales. So yeah, you can shitcan him for that. But the point is to have historical evidence to assist with said termination.
Also, when it comes to company devices, you have zero expectation of, or right to, privacy in the US.

    • RE: Building my website

@Hubtech not us, but that was because we know a guy that does it. He took care of any web work we needed. We recently hired him full time to be my main Helpdesk first responder at one client and filling in his hours with small work from other clients.

This is where installing to USB is recommended. Just have a spare USB copy laying around.

Except you cannot install Server 2012 + Hyper-V to a USB.

Are you sure? Microsoft just recommended that two weeks ago on SW.

When I rolled out a server in November, yes this was the case. I have not read up about any changes as I have no Hyper-V installs pending. I will state, that I did attempt to install to the built in RAID1 SD in the Dell server then and that failed. That led to my searching which stated that it was not possible except for a limited OEM version that was not published.

I use Meraki free at this client already and Maas360 via SW at another client so those were the two I was familiar with. The owner at this client was inquiring about choices because he just fired a sales guy for not being where he said he was.

I like pfSense, but I am now using Vyatta simply because it is what is on the Ubiquiti EdgeRouters that I have spread around.

@garak0410 look at the tcp offload settings. I am not at a place to look at the client where I had the same problem. but there is a setting in hyper-v manager that I had to change then reboot everything in order get get the network to perform correctly.

So I should turn off the TCP Checksum offload for IPv4 on both virtual adapters?

Just logged into that server. It was VMQ that I had to disable. I think it was on by default and I never checked if it was supported or not. The users were screaming down my back so I just disabled it.
