What is your current title?

Yes we all share the same roles (with the expectation of me as I solely look after one office 10 users one Hyper-V server and backups)
Current Title on payroll is Technician but for the last 12 months we been calling me a IT Specialist same as the other two.

I have just posted this on SW but thought it would be nice to get answers from real Pro's

So maybe we've done this the wrong way round but, my pay rise has been agreed to a level that i'm happy with (Over happy as it about £5k-6K More than expected)

But part of the review means giving us a new title and a job description so what would like me to be called (Keep it clean people)

This is what I'm responsible for:-

47 Locations
400 Desktop and Laptops - 1st/2nd/3rd Line support - Install Software as needed - Fix machines - Replace Parts -
Setup New machine for users
Install and Setup Printers as needed
2 Standalone ESXi hosts - Running Radius Server, FOG server, Linux Servers
ReadyNAS Storage - Create Shares, backups
Network infrastructure - From plugging in cables, to install L3 switches with VLAN
WiFi infrastructure - Roll out new centrally managed AP system (using Unifi)
MPLS Monitor and fault reporting
Telephone systems changes and install (Only one location at the moment)
Migrate Exchange to Office365 - Admin Office365
Purchase Hardware - End User/Network/Servers etc
Install Servers - Replace Servers - Project manage when 3rd parties are involved in server upgrades etc.
Monitor Backups.
Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system
Network monitoring
Installing and implementing security programs

Come up with solutions to people problems

That's all I can think of at the moment, i'm sure we do a lot more than just this lol. If it has a plug connected we get called when it fails lol

IMO one of the best - David Tennant at the moment

Well yes and no. We will only do office machines not POS machines so the number is more like 150-200 machines
But also we will only do them when we can and as many as we can lol.

Well the plan at the moment is only to deploy to new machines. Then roll out SLOWLY!! lol.

So idea is when a new machine arrives we upgrade to 10 (unless it comes OEM installed) then deploy the "image" that has required software on and updates, saving us a few hours

Those with Enterprise Agreements feel little/no pressure to move from Windows 7/8/8.1 at this time because the July 30th deadline is meaningless to them.

Does MDT/WDS provide enough value to you versus using something like Clonezilla or FOG?

Well we are a 300+ now but not on any VL agreement (mainly because I don't see the value in them :D)
I only started looking at Microsoft MDT since it was FREE and when you google search "windows 10 deployment" most guides show that

But yeah i'll going to start looking down the FOG route if I can't sort MDT out today lol

Got a headache (only a small one)
Got a CRM Developer moaning about his laptop because he's a pain and want XYZ so we bought one and it's not right!!

I'm having a right mare with MDT/WDS and getting a Windows 10 Deployment sorted.

I've followed a few guides now and either nothing seems to happen when I PXE boot or use the ISO image, or I've managed to create a Test Image captured it. Added it to MDT for deployment and when I boot up there's nothing in the Task Sequence Selection box???

Another issue i'm having is knowing if the Image I've downloaded for 1511 build is correct as when I import it MDT displays it as:-

Does anyone know any good step by step guides to deploy windows 10 PRO! not enterprise as most seem to be only for Tech Preview builds, nothing for real life lol

I started running but stopped over Xmas as I lost too much weight not sure how.much in terms of kg's but I can had to tighten my belt by two holes to keep all trousers up lol
(My advice stress and running is great for weight loss lol)

Thinking i'm slowly getting the hang of MDT and WDS

Trying to come up with a "To Do" list not getting very far.
