That kind of sucks for what is going on at Barcelona though, that would be one of the places I'd visit for vacation. Seemed like a rather great place.

Yet how does anyone manage someone (or government) saying what they can do with their own property. I'd tell em to piss off.

It's not Barcelona that is doing it Scott, it's this person that is in charge who is acting stupidly for her own self interest.

I can promise you she is in some multi-billionaires' pocket.

A service such as NO-IP would be capable of handling a dynamic IP for VPN service. Not an ideal solution but it is possible.

So use a third party, or dedicated machine to do this, rather than configure it directly myself.

      Defeats the goal then.

yeah I'd have to indent all lines that I'd want "quoted" which is a huge pain in the rear.

Edit: It's per paragraph, still goofy that there isn't a function button for it.

But do that with the above example would mean I'd have to indent all lines?

      Is that correct?

Quoting other sources. Much like the Code function on SW.

Zerotier looks useful, I'm wondering if it could be setup as a VM, to support a VM that receives public traffic hrmmm..... now the possibilities.

So I have a few VM's running on my home lab, and looking for some idea's on things that would be cool to test, setup, and maybe even run.

      Any idea's?

I'd love to test HA-Lizard (as found here) except that I don't have the hardware to get that up and running.

Here is a guy who's found out how to get the F710 to work on MAc. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2655713?tstart=0

FYI Mangolassi needs some sort of quoting feature.

Re: Using a Logitech Game Controller F310
      in response to trickytye
In case anyone stumbles upon this thread, I did get my Logitech F710 to work on my iMac. However, it wasn't easy. First of all, simple changing the switch to "D" wasn't enough. When I looked at System Information, it still said it was a Logitech F710 gamepad. That won't work since there isn't an XInput driver for the Mac that works with the F710 as far as I know.

System Information needs to show it as a "Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2" in order for it to work on the Mac. In my case, I needed to disable USB 2 support in VMWare Fusion. Otherwise, Fusion was intercepting the change in USB device ID and wasn't passing it along to the Mac. Initially, I had to start up Fusion and switch the F710 under Windows in order for the change to be reflected on the Mac.

I was finally able to get this to work without starting up Windows. To do this, I had to do the following things in this order:

      1. Change the F710 to "D" (DirectInput) mode
      2. Remove the nano USB receiver from my iMac
      3. Remove one battery from the F710
      4. Re-insert the nano USB receiver into the iMac
      5. Re-insert the battery into the F710

When you look at System Information now, the device should be shown as "Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2". That device will work with the Mac. If your game uses HID Manager, then you won't need to do anything else in order for your gamepad to work. If your game doesn't support HID Manager, then you'll need a program like Carvware's Gamepad Companion or USB Overdrive in order to map the buttons, hatswitch, or analog sticks to keystrokes.

Unfortunately, if you shut your Mac down at night like I do, you'll have to go through the same steps to reattach the F710 to the Mac. Unfortunately, the default mode on the F710 is the XInput mode which doesn't work on the Mac. It won't matter if you leave the F710 in "D" mode.

I ordered a Cordless RumblePad 2 from a retailer that still had it in stock. I have a feeling that's what I'll use in the future since that will be a lot simpler.

I am assuming the F310 would be the same way since all of these Logitech controllers have the XInput and DirectInput modes built into one gamepad. That may be great for Windows users, but it makes it a pain to use it on a Mac.

So here are the descriptions for the 3 kinds of RAID, Software, Fake, and Hardware... RAID Defined I specifically meant companies who opt Motherboard RAID's so therefore Fake RAID by design.

Not third party software which controls RAID outside of BIOS.

    • RAID Controllers - Stupidly Expensive for what they are

So for what a RAID Controller is, why the crap are they so expensive, $200 to $600 for a RAID Controller is just insane. I'm not looking for a RAID controller for any particular case, just looking for good deals for when I do build something (home SAN maybe).

Anyways does anyone have any idea why this pricing model makes any sense. I know businesses who even refuse to buy a RAID Controller and opt for Software (fake) RAID's. I know. . . but damn it all RAID Controller Manufacturers bring the prices down...

    • RE: Rochesters Garbage Plate on Mental Floss List Show

A garbage plate, without watching the video and living in rochester is simply, your choice (in most establishments) of 2 burgers / hot dogs / sausage patties / with your choice of two sides being home fries, French fries, baked beans, or macaroni salad.

It's greasy as all hell, but absolutely a great and tasty lunch. Don't expect to be motivated to do much afterwards. They're not a 2 pound steak, but will fill everyone up, definitely great after a night out with the guys.

Just great food in general, but probably takes 1 day off per plate you eat over your lifespan.
