If I've understood well the question are we talking about a high availability DNS service like the one offered by cloudflare or aws?

@RojoLoco actually they require a subscription even to switch them on

RE: Content filtering with granular settings
I think the Watchguard firewalls can do this, you can create policies per user or per computer with very granular content filtering (even for https connections)

RE: Examples of proper utilization of SAN
We deployed a starwind vSAN in HA to store some critical VMs, it works quite well (cfr. "StarWind Virtual SAN

RE: Moving from O365 E3 to Business Premium
It looks like you don't need to uninstall and reinstall Office

@travisdh1 well it would remove itself automatically eventually, but looks like it could take hours or even days to sync, reading on other forums

RE: Moving from O365 E3 to Business Premium
I've activated a Business Premium trial license on my account and deactivated the E3 license, everything looks good so far
The only strange thing is this, I suppose I just have to wait
UPDATE: I've manually removed the old subscription with the script "$Env:Programfiles\Microsoft Office\Office16\OSPP.VBS". Everything still looks good so far

@zachary715 yes indeed, I've skipped the more obvious limitations

RE: Capacity Planning for Asterisk PBX
It really depends. If you don't do software transcoding even hundreds of call on quite low power hardware would be fine (say 2GB ram and 4 CPU cores).
We've found that using a Sangoma E1 card the same hardware would handle the double of the calls, only because Asterisk bases its timing source on the Sangoma hardware instead of using the dummy one.
One test that you can do is to run the command dahdi_test, the values should be not less than 99.996% for a good audio quality, specially for music on hold and conference rooms.
There are some hardware timers that do the same job for a very low price, ie

Moving from O365 E3 to Business Premium
Hello folks!
We're thinking about downgrading our O365 E3 licenses to the Business Premium version to save some money. We have an on premise exchange server as well.
Before touching anything I would like to ask you if I'm missing something here:- Access would not be included anymore
- Since the Office version will change from Business to ProPlus we would need to reinstall the office software on the workstations
- Our on premise exchange would not be accessible from the outlook clients anymore since the business premium is only cloud based
- The mailboxes and their email will migrate automatically (after some minutes of panic where you can't see any mailbox during the migration)
Questions:
- we have some internal services that rely on our on premise exchange server to send some automated email (ie. Veeam Backup Notifications), would them be influenced by these changes?
- we have some distribution group configured on the on premise exchange, would them be influenced by these changes?
- Some users don't work on their local machine, they instead RPD to a way more powerful Hyper-V VM (one VM for each user), will this still work with Business Premium licenses?
- Any other thoughts?
Thank you

Is Windows 10 Enterprise included in Office 365 E3?
Hello everyone!
We've got some workstations with both Windows 10 Enterprise and Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3 licenses.
I see that the E3 flavour of M365 contains the windows 10 enterprise license itself (https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/microsoft-365/compare-all-microsoft-365-plans).
It's actually pretty confusing, but the question is: can I get rid of the Windows Enterprise license (that we renew each year) and use the one included in M365?Thank you very much
