we had this a few weeks ago. The account on the pdf was a fully legit and active account out of a Chase bank in Skokie, IL. We contacted both the chase bank and ours as well as the local fbi field office since this would be considered interstate wire fraud. I still haven't heard anything from the fbi on this.

RE: Bloatware on smartphones
I have a Moto X first gen with very little bloatware. The crap that verizon installs ontop i just go in and disable the apps. No big deal so now I have a stock android phone with no bloatware.

RE: Bread and Milk Alert in Arkansas
Since I live in a northern state that gets snow every winter, the first big threat of a snowstorm usually involves stores running through their stock of salt and snow shovels. I haven't noticed any one particular item at the grocery store that gets that low when we have a threat of severe weather.

RE: What are your thoughts about HP Instant Ink?
@IRJ my dads inkjet was just ruined by using a third party cartridge in his HP printer. All it takes is 1 time and you have your justification to not using 3rd party cartridges.

RE: nVidia FakeRAID
scott, you have a tendency of saying its a particular vendor/ company that is responsible for things like this. I really think you should amend your title to include all other vendors that do this and not just pick out 1. It is equal to saying target got hacked, but then leave out home depot, jimmy johns and everyone else that was hacked as well.

RE: Another Reason I Find Linux Superior to Windows - Setting Up My Plex Server
i setup plex on my win7 pc without any issues. Port forwarding for outside access is setup as well. It took me all of 30 minutes to install and configure so i could watch on any device inside my network. I'm not sure what issues you had however.

RE: More Reasons to Not Like Flying on Southwest
this is not a reason to not like southwest. It was either pilot or ground crew error. This happens more than gets reported and happens with all different airlines. The same can be said about united and this story: http://nypost.com/2014/12/29/passengers-complain-after-dog-left-on-rainy-tarmac/

RE: Anyone want to help beta test Webroot?

@Carnival-Boy yes but this is in the WC.

RE: New Review on ThanksAJ.com - Pertino
@ajstringham As an active member as well if i had my own site i would just randomly plug it with new entries to the site. That is what an RSS feed is for, so those who want to keep up to date on new material can. Unless I haven't seen it/paid attention to it, SAM only plugs his site when its relevant to the conversation (at least that is what i have seen on SW). I am not opposed to someone plugging their site but there has to be some context to it and not just plugging it to get page views. Like I said what you are doing defeats the purpose of the review section here on ML. I personally don't think its professional to do this, but that is just me and everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

RE: New Review on ThanksAJ.com - Pertino
A.J. I'm not trying to be mean but why are you constantly plugging your website here instead of just posting your review on ML. It kind of defeats the purpose of the review section. I fully understand that your site is new but can you find a different way of plugging your site? To me its unprofessional to go on a site and say hey go to mine, i have all of these reviews and so on.

RE: SW, I just don't get it
@CHaynes2013 if you are straight up implying that someone might be drunk because you cannot understand them, yes that deserves to be removed. While understanding that this and SW are mainly English speaking sites you have to keep in mind if you don't know the person or they are from a different nationality their English will be moderate at best. The bigger question is why are you getting upset by having your "are you drunk" post removed? It adds nothing to the conversation or line of question. The user in question as @Bill-Kindle has said has a different way of communicating than we do. If you don't know the person don't make such public comments about his use of HIS second language. Play nice and you won't be moderated. Mod's delete posts for reasons, if you have an issue with it raise it with them, don't come to a different site just to complain about the other because they are doing something that you don't approve of.

RE: MFP: Scan to email address
@g.jacobse nope, nothing setup in o365 for any of the scanners. They are just dummy addresses in the mfp's.
-
RE: MFP: Scan to email address
@g.jacobse i believe we are using a vm we setup that does our dir sync as well as our relay. I'm not 100% sure about that since I didn't set that up.
-
RE: MFP: Scan to email address
Here is the way i have my 7 mpf's setup. Each machine has its own From address and it is by department. So mine are [email protected], [email protected] and so on. All Mfp's point to our relay server and everything works without an issue. We are on Office365 for email only at this time.

we just purchase open licenses for both windows and office. Roughly $240 for each license and we own them. One master key using network authentication. pretty straight forward for me. I run inventory reports through spiceworks for our true up and there we go.
Which Office version?
well with the open license you purchase the license for the latest software that is available but it gives you the ability to install the previous version as well. Currently we are running office 2010 and win 7 pro, however we purchase the licensing for office 2013 and win 8.1
