can't get to IE options to reset anything. I am in the proccess of uninstalling IE 9, so it forces to go back to 8, then going back up to 9 to see if that resolves the issue

tried and wouldn't load, however i found a resolution to this. Turns out IE was corrupted so i uninstalled v9, dropped it back to v8, then reinstalled v9 and that resolved the issue. Stupid corruption.

just so everyone is aware i'm not the only one having this issue. This issue is caused by the patch for the Zero Day bug in IE. Go to:http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r29218720-IE-Security-update-for-Internet-Explorer-May-1-2014 and read the bottom of the post. It explains what is going on.

With all this IE security issue going around it is important to remind everyone about Microsoft EMET toolkit that will block the important security vectors malware uses to penetrate your windows systems.
Especially if you have any Windows XP boxes still under your Administrative Jurisdiction. EMET 4.1 and there is a 5.0 beta available to test.

Nice article about blue hat researchers that defeated 4.1 and the fixes are included in 5.0 and some in 4.1 update 1

That's great that MS has EMET, but the reality is that it breaks as much as it fixes, maybe more. Maybe in another 10 years when programmers have been a bit more forced to create better, more security minded code we'll have an easier time running things like EMET.
