Deleted topic does not go away if already on screen

I had left this topic open because I had to answer a phone call. When I came back to the screen, this is what I was presented with. One would think that a dynamic updating platform would remove the text from my screen also.
It shows int he category view like this once I clicked out.

That is odd. My guess would be that if you have it open and had the ability to screen shot it or copy it or whatever, you have the "right" to keep reading it. You would be less happy if you were in the middle of reading something and it vanished out from under you. But you need a note saying that it was deleted and won't be there when you return.
