    Have IE open an app without prompting

      We're all familiar with browsers being able to open Adobe Reader without a prompt from the browser.

      After upgrading a user to Windows 8.1 when they need to print labels, IE prompts them as seen here.

      In windows 7, IE 9 the user wouldn't receive a prompt, the system would simply print the labels.

      The *.bar extension is associated with an installed software package for a specialty lab printer. If we click OPEN on the prompt it prints fine.

      Any ideas how to get the prompt to go away? Does this have something to do with Protected Mode in newer versions of IE?
