@scottalanmiller There are those that grind through fighting games and those who grind through Skyrim (Whilst happily stabbing Draugr)

Although to be fair, I've spent hundreds of hours playing the same maps in TF2.... and hundreds of hundreds of hours playing Minecraft... both of which have very little story.

I don't like grinding wherever it is. I like story.

Any Street fighter 5 players on ML? I'm training for my next tournament (missed winter brawl)
Can't do arcade stick fighters. Don't have the twitch for it.
There are a lot of pro players that use pad now. No one judges pad players anymore
I don't have the reflexes to do it. That and I can't get into the story (what little they have) which makes the experience boring to me.
Practically every fighting game with the exception of Blazblue has basically the worst story line ever. I'm not in the game for anything but the tournament scene. I literally sit in the lab (training mode) and attempt to discover new tech, practice combos, and find solutions to problems I encounter. I only just found the character I'm playing yesterday because I tear everything apart so much.
That sounds incredibly boring and not fun at all
I've beaten two EVO finalists in tournament so the preparation for me is a buildup. Everyone competes to realize their potential. It's great

That's what I really play for. I'm not ashamed to say I'll cheat my way through the grinding bits (for single player games), depending on how grindy it is. I won't do God mode or anything like that, but if I need a bunch of gold to buy stuff, or mana so I don't die every 5 minutes, yea. I'll do that.
I want the next bit of story (and no, it does not detract from the value of the story -- at least to me)!

Nope, I keep looking at it and realizing that there isn't anything slightly interesting about it for me.

Fair enough. I have my limits. I also seem to have an incredibly short attention span when attempting to do it too.

Try Bloodborne if that is the case. It's more story based.
