I was bored last night and played with one of these for a little bit at Staples. Seems pretty decent about as fast as the HP Chromebook but windows. This would be great for a kid to start on or someone who is just surfing but still give them the full windows experience and the price is pretty nice too $230 for the one I looked at.

If you order it from the Microsoft Store you get it with a clean install without any of the typical OEM bloat/adware.

Yup. Might be worth testing out at that price. Weighs about the same as my Ipad with the external keyboard together.

I doubt it. I think it's normal for pre orders to be cheaper the earlier and more expensive later to draw attention quickly.
