Now that is some major improvement. Get that up to 400-500 miles and I'm a happy driver (they're already halfway!)
This is a bunch of shit. There is not a passenger vehicle on the market today that gets this range without a gimmick such as a second tank, or an overly large (20+gallons) tank.
My Aveo gets around 400 miles on an 11 gallon tank...
I get 398 in my Chrysler 200 but I think that is a 14 or 15 gallon tank.

400 miles is better than 36 MPG for the entire tank of gas. I call bullshit.
There is no way you are doing:
Get that up to 400-500 miles and I'm a happy driver
You are projecting bias.
Can it get it? I am sure, fuck my car can get better than 40 mpg if I drive a careful 55-60 at all times with super gentle acceleration. But that is not real world. -
The semi's I drove would get 1000+ miles per tank, but that's talking 120 gallons a tank, today it's closer to 200 gallons a tank

But that is not real world.I'm "only" getting ~34 right now according to my calculations at the pump, I think I need to check my tire air pressure, because it normally is around 36mpg.

What matters is the recharge time. I have no idea how long it takes to recharge to get another 265 miles.
20 minutes apparently
20 minutes is a pitstop for most folks.
That's kinda long. I wouldn't want to have to stop 20 mins for every 3 hours I drive (70+ mph highway). I think the average stop for me is 15 min or less.
20 minutes is an eternity unless the vehicle is self driving and I am not paying attention to the trip time anyway.
When I stop for gas on a normal trip, I am there less than 10 minutes counting time off the highway, fueling, and time back to the highway.

Yep I agree. This really needs to be cut down to 10 mins, but that just might be unreasonable due to technology.

Physics is such a ...pain... sometimes.

It depends on how much you really want that car specifically. It's starting to look kind of bad from my end, not due to time but expense. Too many variables right now for me to realistically purchase even a model 3. The Model S prices are crazy but it's also aluminum work, which the model 3 won't have.
We'll see.

I would like to get a Model 3.
If $$$ was no object, I would go total opposite...a Model 3 for driving around and a F-150 Raptor for the fun times!

Does anyone realize that every energy conversion suffers loss? It's so ridiculously laughable to me every time people fire up the electric vs. gas vehicle debate. It generally requires fossil fuels to generate electricity (on a large scale), and then you get another potential drop when converting from AC to battery DC potential electricity. There is no magical "save the planet" clause that kicks in and gives you a conversion bonus for being "green", and when you're all done wasting energy to look like you've done the planet some great service, you throw your massive used-up lead-acid batteries in a landfill. Sure, technology keeps getting better, and there may come a point when we can produce all of our electricity w/o the use of fossil fuels, but until that actually happens in the real world, physics renders the argument invalid. I'll accept that using solar panels to generate the power to charge your car is a step in the right direction, but now you've added another layer of toxic batteries to the chain. And my 3 cars average about 350-400 miles per tank of gas, at roughly 25-30 mpg.

This graph is incorrect. Too much time spent actually showering.
