$299. There are other programs that do the same thing for free. The great thing about camtasia though is its so damn easy to make a video. I can make a 10 minute video in 20 minutes including the screen record time and the editing.

I re-read the article and noticed its only good for 10 minutes at a time. It's $100 for the pro version which has no restrictions

I seem to remember a talk Scott gave at Spiceworld a few years ago (maybe 2010) about storage that I watched one night randomly.
It was good, but I do like the series idea.

Cam Studio is free no idea how good. http://camstudio.org/
Getting everyone using the same Quality/Compression standard will be needed for consistency. I would use an H.264 in a MP4 wrapper for HD video.
Might be good to make a bumper video/Intro video that has a MangoLassi logo and some other stuff and then we could have a slide that the person doing the screen capture puts up right after that (similar styling) with the Title of the training, and the presenters name.
I would break anything over 30min into parts.
