NextCloud Talk 6 Add More Participants



  • Totally up to date system. We use NextCloud Talk, a lot. It's how we do our screen sharing. At some point we seem to have lost the ability to add more people to an NC Talk conversation. An existing group conversation still works. But we can't find any means of making a new one.

    When Talk 6 was updated, they added this "feature", which I suspect is what broke things: "One-to-one conversations are now persistent and can not be turned into group conversations by accident anymore. Also when one of the participants leaves the conversation, the conversation is not automatically deleted anymore. Only if both participants leave, the conversation is deleted from the server"

    That's great, but the interface for adding people is now gone. Anyone know how to make this work, now?



  • Okay, we got it figured out. Works well, but is not intuitive.

    You go to "New Conversation" and then you have to just make a new for a new conversation. Only then can you add people to it. Totally works, just.... why would you ever think to do that?
