So @PSX_Defector gave me a copy of Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I am probably going to regret it but I'm going to take the plunge. I have a 120GB SSD that is a Kingston currently but after seeing the specs online, compared to some SSDs, I realized it's not that great. Besides, it's a 120GB. When I got it a year and a half ago, 240GB models were still pricey at $200 on-sale. Well, I wanted to get the Pro version but I settled for this:

The Pro was another $60 and I just don't need the difference in performance. So, what I spent today doing, besides sleeping, was compiling installers of my programs on putting it all on my NAS. I also kicked off a massive copy of my Music, Pictures but mos of all, Videos folders...this is the result...

Installers are pretty much compiled and ready to go. Might need to get one or two more but I just need to wait for the SSD (will be here Tuesday) and also for my data to finish transferring, which may also be Tuesday...lol

I had the 120GB version of that. I found it lacking compared to my new Samsung SSD.

The write speeds on the Kingstons are, if you look, actually much lower than a lot of other drives. They are decent SSDs but I bought that model because that's what Staples sold, and that's where I worked. .
