Xenserver 6.2.X users who use HA, get in here

Have you ever disabled HA to destroy a failed server? If so, how long did it take for the process to complete for disabling?

@computerchip What is the reason for doing it? Is the hypervisor corrupt or what's going on?

Had a server where the state.db got corrupt, so I needed to remove it from the pool. In order to remove it from the pool you need to temporarily disable HA.

I have never done it. I'm really not familiar enough with how Xen works to know if you would have support for it. If you do, might be able to call or email and get confirmation. Even though you'd be waiting, when you went to do it, you'd be better prepared on your end and better able to prepare management.

I have never done it. I'm really not familiar enough with how Xen works to know if you would have support for it. If you do, might be able to call or email and get confirmation. I honestly don't know. Xen is Citrix, no? I've never worked with it. I'm just thinking in generalities.

Xen was never Citrix. XenServer was Citrix but quite a while ago both got transferred to the Linux Foundation. Citrix is not involved with either one today and never was with Xen proper, other than being a contributor to the project. XenServer is pure open source directly from Linux.
