      Home Lab use only
      Hypervisor: KVM
      OBR (RAID-10): 3TB HDD (3.5 SATA 7200 RPM)

Here are the default settings for Stripe Element Size, Read Policy, and Write Policy:

      • Stripe Element Size: 64KB (8KB, 16KB, 32KB, 64KB, 128KB, 256KB, 512KB, 1MB)

      • Read Policy: No Read Ahead (No Read Ahead, Read Ahead, Adaptive Read Ahead)

      • Write Policy: Write Back (Write Back, Write Through)

Is there any reason to change the default settings?

Not unless you need to fine tune. Defaults are made to be the defaults on purpose and unless you have a good reason, they shouldn't be changed.

Defaults are almost always what you want.
