Got ya! You probably clicked because you had to know what this was all about.
Well, I love public speaking. I've been speaking publicly in front of 100+ crowds regularly since I was 5. I've spoken at an international convention (not held internationally though).
Youtube Video – [26:38..]In any case, I was shown an organization called Toastmasters by @Katie . She said they are well known and I figured, hey, why not? So I joined them last Saturday. I hope to be doing my "Icebreaker" at some point soon, and was told there was even a chance they may need a fill in tomorrow. Not sure but I'm working on it tonight I have 4-6 minutes to talk about myself. It's coming together nicely, although that's too broad a topic. Especially for 4-6 minutes.
Anyways, I'm excited to see what happens and how it goes. Wish me well!

That should be an interesting venture. I knew a guy who was in that group a while back and he was a letter to get really good at doing presentations with excellent flowing content. Good luck!

So I show up today and find out I'm on the schedule to speak! I had finished writing my presentation and brought all my stuff with me "just in case" but had no intentions of speaking today. I had written the speech but hadn't gotten a chance to rehearse it at all. Not once. It came out really well though! I won the "firecracker" award, which is for the person who spoke with the most feeling/most moving speech/most lively, etc. I was pretty happy overall.
